Thrilled with this bag. Strikes
"Thrilled with this bag. Strikes a great balance of quality without being absurdly expensive. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go the next size up, buy this seems sufficient for all but my longest winter trips."

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 25 x 18 x 11.25 in. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 28 x 18.5 x 11.75 in. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
How many linear inches is this bag, and will I owe oversize fees?
Linear inches are height + width + depth. This bag measures 54.25 linear inches by case dimensions and 58.25 including wheels and handles. The standard checked-bag limit on most airlines is 62 linear inches (158 cm). This bag sits within that limit. More detail in our luggage size and weight guide.
How much can I pack before hitting airline weight limits?
Most U.S. airlines cap checked bags at 50 lbs. This bag weighs 9.8 lbs empty, which leaves about 40.2 lbs of packing before standard overweight fees. A luggage scale is a good companion for long trips.
Does the expansion matter on a checked bag?
Expansion adds packing depth, which also adds to the bag's linear inches and invites heavier packing. If you are near your airline's size or weight limit, measure and weigh the bag expanded, the way it will actually fly.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Submit a repair request through our warranty repair page for an online evaluation, with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase (or product registration). If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Prefer in-person help? Find the nearest authorized repair center. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page.
How do I clean and care for it?
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty, plus our 100-day satisfaction trial with free returns. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Reviews
My Platinum(r) Elite has excellent
"My Platinum(r) Elite has excellent workmanship and all the zippers and fasteners work very well. The wheels pivot and turn freely and glide smoothly. LOTS of space for a week plus of clothes. The lock did take a little practice to learn how to use."
Excellent quality. We've used Travelpro
"Excellent quality. We've used Travelpro for years and have been very happy. Many miles have been put on our suitcases over the years. Decided to buy a smaller size to our next trip to Europe as it's easier for us to handle/"
worked great for a long
"worked great for a long trip, easily handled everything that we needed it to do. Would recommend for ease of use, rolling, capacity, zippers were smooth."
This is a really nice
"This is a really nice looking bag, quality construction and detailed design. The wheels roll easily and it is extremely roomy. I took one star off my review because it is a bit heavier than I would have liked but I am keeping it anyway."
Love it! Unique color than
"Love it! Unique color than most others, Blue Camo. Airliner attendants are amazed at how fast I can get to my power bank pocket when I get checked last minute. Just enough room for 3-4 day trips. Integrated fluid pack help TSA and myself."
We love our new luggage!
"We love our new luggage! It rolls beautifully and is so easy to clean - just wipe it off with a paper towel or cloth. Looks like new again a"
The suitcase is well made
"The suitcase is well made with tight seams, sturdy zippers and even color in the fabric. This is the third Travepro I have bought and all are the same. The two previous ones have served me well and are still in good shape. I worked in the airline industry and most crew members use Traveler suitcases that have traveled millions of miles. That is why I purchased three of them over time."
This is an amazing luggage
"This is an amazing luggage piece. The wheels roll smoothly and its a dream to walk with. The only problem is if the ground is tilted at an angle the suitcase can roll away from you. The handles, zippers and packing for this is outstanding. Great product! Seems durable, but I've only used it for one trip."
Absolutely love my Platinum Elite
"Absolutely love my Platinum Elite Medium Check-In. It glides so nicely which makes it easy to maneuver. The design makes it easy to pack with cubes to stay organized. I especially like the fabric, you just wipe it with a damp cloth to clean it."
