"I’ve used Travelpro luggage for years for business travel. I typically purchased bags from the Crew line, but one was destroyed during transit, so I decided to switch to a hardshell design instead. The Platinum Elite bag is very impressive—it incorporates some key elements from the Crew series, features upgraded wheels, and now includes a handle on the bottom, which is a great bonus. I have a smaller version from last year that doesn’t have a handle, so seeing one on this model is definitely an upgrade. The Platinum Elite zippers are smooth and sturdy, and the wheels/telescope handle remain the gold standard for gliding through airports. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my purchase!"

What a fantastic piece of

"What a fantastic piece of luggage . I was a little concerned because of its size and it being too heavy empty. That's not the case at all . It's quite light although I would caution I could see myself easily exceeding 50lbs if not careful. The construction is first rate . I love the textured exterior and protective corners . These were important as the airlines have crushed my non travelpro pieces because they didn't have adequate corner protection . The wheels are amazing and it rolls smooth as can be on any surface . Interior is quite large with a shoe bag and zippered sides to keep things separated . Material on the interior is very nice . Overall my favorite piece of Travelpro luggage . I highly recommend if you are are looking for a larger piece of luggage with a great quality build, warranty and reputation ."

Perfect Luggage for Long Weekend or Long Trip!

"This is my 4th piece of Travel Pro luggage - and it is great! I love the inside divider panels with zippers on each side to hold everything in place so it's not all tossed around when you open it back up. And there are zippers on the divider panels to safely secure small treasures. It holds a lot - I had to be careful not to over pack! It is very easy to wheel around - and the handles are strong and easy to grab. The shell is very strong - no scratches after several uses. I would definitely order this again!"

Great all-purpose hard-sided luggage for work and play

"This is my fourth travel, pro bag, and it measures up to my needs without a question. It rolls extremely well, and really don’t have any problems in the airport or at the baggage claim. I wish the handle was a little bit longer because I carry a backpack with a sleeve on it, although the handle is very sturdy and I really appreciate that, also. The tiedowns inside the compartments, along with the zippered closing left and right compartments are very useful as I can put different clothing for work and play in different sides. I usually cover my bag with a large duffel when it goes underneath the plane as I found that to be the best way to travel for the last 20 years. In addition, that duffel can double us an extra bag if I need it when I’m returning from my destination and find a wonderful treasure that I want to bring home. The zippers are strong with no breakage whatsoever on any of my pieces, let alone this one, and all I highly recommend this luggage for work and play. my motto has been fulfilled, yet again, which is “buy once, cry once”. The great thing is that the price point is not nearly as high as many of the competition and the quality and guarantee still great."
