Best for: One-bag travelers who treat the overhead bin as home, and overpackers determined to carry on anyway.
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 19.75 x 13.75 x 9.5 in. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 23 x 14.5 x 9.5 in. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Yes, for the major U.S. airlines: this bag is sizer-bin tested and fits the carry-on sizers and overhead bins on mainline aircraft of the major U.S. carriers. Like most premium carry-ons, its overall height (23 in.) is slightly above the commonly published 22 x 14 x 9 in. standard, and it still fits where it matters: the sizer and the bin.
| Airline | Published carry-on limit |
|---|---|
| American Airlines | 22 x 14 x 9 in. |
| Delta Air Lines | 22 x 14 x 9 in. |
| United Airlines | 22 x 14 x 9 in. |
| Southwest Airlines | 24 x 16 x 10 in. |
Regional jets have smaller bins, so expect to gate-check on those flights regardless of brand. See our carry-on size guide by airline for the full list, and remember every bag is covered by our 100-day trial.
Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. Step-by-step video and more lock help are in our customer FAQ.

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hardside shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance; store the bag in its provided fabric cover when not in use. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"I love this, however, I just took it on a trip and carried it on both ways and one of the zipper pulls came off. I have the platinum elite soft side carry on and it’s still like new after many many trips so I’m hopefully to get this fixed and have no more issue. I love the compression of this bag."
"Love the color. Easy to spot along jet bridge away flight has landed, Like pink shoe bags Like ability to zip each interior side Easy to roll in airport"
"Wheels seem like great quality but the interior room in these TravelPro bags, in comparison to other brands that are the same size, is a bit problematic - especially given the premium price."
"I am fully satisfied! It rolls so easy and fits more than I expected."
"Excellent product"
"We love this luggage. We started with the checked bag sizes and now replacing our carry ons. The wheels on the larger luggage is so easy to notice if you are pulling a samsonite and a travel pro over plush carpet at a hotel. We are looking at longevity and ease of use. It’s worth it"
"Best luggage ever. So easy to roll through the airport!"
"This is my favorite hardside cary-on luggage! I have a few hardside carry-ons and this one is by far the best. The redesign looks phenomenal, the build quality is better than any other one I have. The construction and materials are perfect! I love all the compartments and zippered pockets. I also love that both sides of the luggage have compression tie down straps which allows you to compress 100% of your belongings as opposed to just one half."
"A solid improvement from the previous generation. The materials feel better. . . especially the inside zipper (comparing to a Platinum Elite hard side large I also have). Will I replace the previous generation? No. But would I recommend this generation over the previous? Yes, definitely. All the zipper glide smooth both inside and the main outside. The TSA lock is easy to set, works as expected. The wheels are incredible smooth. I'm not sure I noticed an improvement with the magnetic functionality of the wheels (they can gently "lock" back into place), but it's not a downside. I've used this for two round trip flights thus far as a carry on and had no issues fitting it in American Airlines nor Delta Airlines overhead compartments. If I had to give it a con. . . the provided luggage tag is a bit "cheap" feeling. . . I'll swap that with one of my own. But no big deal. Also they advertise having an internal "tracker" pocket but there are no pictures. It's just a little inside pocket on the left-side compartment, large enough to fit an AirTag or similar tracker."
"Very pleased with this functional carry on."
