What's included in this set?

The Platinum® Reserve™ Compact Carry-On / Medium Check-In Hardside Set includes each piece named in the title as a separate bag. See the Dimensions section below for the size and weight of each piece.

Which piece can I carry on the plane?

The carry-on piece in this set is sized for the carry-on rules of most major U.S. airlines, while larger pieces travel as checked bags. If you are matching the carry-on against a specific airline, our carry-on size guide by airline lists published limits by carrier.

Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?

Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.

How do I set the TSA lock combination?

Each lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. Step-by-step video and more lock help are in our customer FAQ.

How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?

Submit a repair request through our warranty repair page for an online evaluation, with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase (or product registration). If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Prefer in-person help? Find the nearest authorized repair center. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page.

How do I clean and care for them?

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let each bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hardside shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance. The full-grain leather trim needs no special treatment; wipe it with a dry cloth. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

What warranty does this set come with?

The Platinum® Reserve™ line is covered by our Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty, plus a 100-day satisfaction trial with free returns. Use it for a real trip and decide. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
