We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 27.75 x 17 x 12.75 in. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 30.75 x 18 x 13.25 in. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.

"As a birthday gift, and after consulting with my son, I bought the large Crew bag because he travels a lot on business. He (and I) have enjoyed the same piece for years, but it was time for a new one. The most important factor in choosing the new Crew is the fact it makes it easy to pack his suit/s with the built in feature designed for that reason. He also likes the water proof section for liquids as well as the ability to expand the main section for extra space. Additionally, he was ready to try the spinner wheels. Quality bag

"So far I have been on two trips and this bag has worked great. It has tons of room but is still lightweight. I also love the wheels, they are super smooth. The outside has held up pretty well, there is one scratch where the fabric was cut a little bit but this is to be expected from the airlines. Overall I highly recommend this bag."
