The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"We actually just came back from our trip to St. Louis, Costa Rica, and then Colorado Springs. We used our medium luggage and were absolutely delighted with everything. Very very please. The only think to report on a negative vein was after our very first flight, the luggage tag ripped. The little leather piece holding the cover on ripped and the tag cover flapped. I just cut it off but wanted you aware."
"This was part of the set that I reviewed for my daughter. She uses this set for business and leisure travel. She flies frequently and often at the last minute. The organizational features work really well for her. The large check-in bag is plenty of room for her things when she goes for a week or more. She’s extremely happy with this and loves the color of the luggage as well. The warranty was very important as we have purchased a lesser quality and less expensive luggage in the past year or so and the wheels or the handle have been damaged and the warranty was very difficult to use on those luggage and this one it seems like it will be easy to use if we have that damage. But the reviews indicate that we may not have the same kind of damage plus, I noticed that the airline pilots and staff use this luggage, which is another benefit."

"While I loved the beautiful color (rose pink) of the Travelpro x Travel + Leisure Large suitcase, and the second handle in the middle of the suitcase (for ease of lifting it with two hands), I decided to return the suitcase and buy a different model. "Best suitcase I've ever had! Took it cabin camping with me and it held up so well. Still beautiful and sturdy after being drug on gravel and the cabin floor, and thrown around by airport staff. "On my first trip the zipper broke opening almost all the way. The case was dented also looking like a hole about 1 1/2 inches long. There is not a phone number to call to contact anyone to inform them of these issues. I actually purchased two different sizes and both had dents in them on the very first flight. I have never had anything like this happen to brand new suit cases even with the less expensive ones. We traveled to Maui and Kaui and needed to rig something up to keep the larger one closed for the remaining flights which I worried about the entire trip. You need to have better customer service. We received the suitcases right before our trip so I have not been able to complete the warranty cards yet. We just returned home yesterday."
