    How do I find the right gift for a traveler?

    Start with who you're shopping for. Pick a traveler at the top of the guide (Frequent Flyer, Business Class, Weekend Warrior, Family Packer, Pro Organizer or Plus One) and the guide narrows to the luggage, bags and accessories that suit them. You can also shop by price, by color or by sets.

    What size suitcase should I give?

    Match it to how long they usually travel. A carry-on covers trips of 2 to 7 days (up to about 7 outfits). A medium check-in suits 5 to 7 days (up to 11 outfits), and a large check-in suits 7 to 14 days (up to 16 outfits). Sizes vary a little by collection. Not sure? Take our luggage finder quiz.

    What's a good gift for someone who flies a lot?

    A carry-on is the most useful pick. The Frequent Flyer tile shows carry-ons from Platinum Elite, Platinum Reserve, Maxlite and Optima, designed to fit the overhead bins of most major U.S. airlines.

    Will a Travelpro carry-on fit in the overhead bin?

    Our carry-ons are tested to fit in overhead bins on most major U.S. airlines. For trips abroad, an International Carry-On is sized to meet carry-on limits on a wide range of international airlines. Airline limits mean the overall size, including wheels and handles, so compare the Overall Dimensions on the product page. Check your airline's size limits.

    Should I give a medium or a large check-in bag?

    A medium check-in is sized to meet the 62 linear inch limit (height + width + depth) most U.S. airlines follow and holds about a week of packing. A large check-in holds up to two weeks but can go over that limit: the Platinum Elite Large Check-In is 66.75 linear inches with wheels and handles, so check the airline's oversize rules. Most U.S. airlines also cap checked bags at 50 lbs, and the Platinum Elite medium and large weigh 9.8 and 11.5 lbs empty. Read our luggage size and weight guide.

    What's an underseat bag, and who is it for?

    An UnderSeat tote or rolling underseat bag is a personal item sized to fit under most domestic airline seats, so everything they need in flight stays at their feet. It's a smart gift for travelers on fares that allow only a personal item, or as a second bag next to their carry-on.

    Are luggage sets a good gift?

    When should I order for holiday delivery?

    For holiday delivery in the contiguous US, order by Monday, December 14 with standard shipping, Thursday, December 17 with expedited shipping or Friday, December 18 with express shipping. Orders must be in by 12 PM ET (9 AM PT) on those days. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii? Order by Thu 12/10 with standard shipping, or Wed 12/16 with expedited.

    What if the gift isn't quite right?

    Eligible Travelpro luggage bought on Travelpro.com comes with a 100-day at-home trial. Return it within 100 days of delivery in new, unused condition, with tags and original packaging, and we'll email you a prepaid return label. Original shipping charges are not refunded, and some items are excluded. See the refund policy or start a return.
