We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 24 x 15.5 x 11.5 in. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 27 x 17 x 11.5 in. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Linear inches are height + width + depth. This bag measures 51 linear inches by case dimensions and 55.5 including wheels and handles. The standard checked-bag limit on most airlines is 62 linear inches (158 cm). This bag sits within that limit. More detail in our luggage size and weight guide.
Most U.S. airlines cap checked bags at 50 lbs. This bag weighs 9.2 lbs empty, which leaves about 40.8 lbs of packing before standard overweight fees. A luggage scale is a good companion for long trips.
Expansion adds packing depth, which also adds to the bag's linear inches and invites heavier packing. If you are near your airline's size or weight limit, measure and weigh the bag expanded, the way it will actually fly.

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hardside shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance; store the bag in its provided fabric cover when not in use. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"Great piece of luggage for a couple traveling for the weekend. Packing cubes came in super handy and makes it so easy to be organized while traveling. Zipper glides easily and appears to hold up to frequent open/closing of the suitcase. No issues with rolling the luggage from cab to hotel and easily maneuverable thru the airport and public transit. "At first glance, a very stunning color. It appears to be a very sturdy piece of luggage, good storage space, and very convenient additional compartment and separate packaging for accessories. The only downside is the locking mechanism isn’t as user friendly as described by instructions. It took me almost 10 minutes to figure out the way the locks worked. I had my wife try after providing instructions of what I did to unlock it, but still took even longer. Once I got past the locking mechanism, I was able to get to the great piece of luggage that it is."
"Spacious roller, easy to manipulate, with section dividers that keeps everything organized, and stops you from over packing large items which leads to being overweight. Although the luggage is a hard case it has flexibility to the material and a zipper expansion, which gives you more packing flexibility if needed. However, because of the the body has some flex to it when fully packed, but its the appropriate compromise to a non flexible hard case. The light blue color sticks out on the conveyor belt and was easy to spot, the wheels are color matched which helped it to stick out from the other luggage."
